Statute

Bialystok University of Technology continues the tradition of higher education in Bialystok.

It was established on the basis of infrastructure, academic staff and scientific achievements of subsequent higher schools in Bialystok: Private Evening School of Engineering NOT in Bialystok established by the Ministry of Education on 1 December 1949 and nationalized in 1951 under the name Evening School of Engineering (WSI).

Higher School of Engineering established as a result of transformation of WSI in October 1964 and elevated to the rank of an academic institution under the name Politechnika Białostocka (Bialystok University of Technology) on 1 October 1974.
