Declaration of architectural accessibility of buildings of the Faculty of Engineering Management of Bialystok University of Technology

The campus of the Faculty of Engineering Management in Kleosin consists of 4 teaching facilities: ‘Philadelphia’, Hall ‘Berlin’, ‘Montreal’, ‘Shanghai” connected to the building of the Dean’s Office.

Parking places for people with disabilities are designated: 1 parking place by the Philadelphia building, approx. 1.2 m from the entrance to the building by the elevator; 1 parking place at the entrance to the Montreal building.
 
Philadelphia – a 3-storey building, without basement.

Wheelchair users can access the building by:

  • the ramp at the main entrance,
  • at the elevator entrance.

The door to the building does not open automatically.

Inside the building there are:

  • toilets adapted for people with disabilities on the ground floor,
  • an elevator: no voice information, marking of keys in the Braille alphabet,
  • a cloakroom connected to the gatehouse, tel. 85 746-98-27.

Montreal – 1-storey building, partly with basement.

The door to the building does not open automatically.

Inside the building there is a toilet adapted for people with disabilities and a cloakroom connected to the gatehouse, tel.: 85 746-74-66.
 
Berlin hall – a 2-storey building without basement.

Wheelchair users can access the building using the ramp at the main entrance.

The door to the building does not open automatically.

Inside the building there are:

  • toilets adapted for people with disabilities on the ground floor,
  • podnośnik kabinowy, brak powiadomień głosowych i oznakowania klawiszy w alfabecie brajla.

Dean’s Office – a 2-storey building, basement.

Wheelchair users can enter the building through the main entrance from level zero.

Inside the building there are:

  • toilets adapted for people with disabilities on the ground floor,
  • elevator, automatically opening doors, voice notifications, Braille key markings;

Shanghai – a 2-storey building, partly with basement, connected to the building of the Dean’s Office.

Wheelchair users can get into the building through the building of the Dean’s Office.

Inside the building there are:

  • no accessible toilets.
  • scissor lift for wheelchair users.

The chairs for the evacuation of people with disabilities are located on the last floors of the Dean’s Office, Berlin Hall, Shanghai and both floors of the Philadelphia building.
 

You can enter the facilities with an assistance dog.

Facility maps are available in the Zonifero application.

The university provides access to the Migam sign language interpreter service (in Polish), the service is active from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm.

The following teaching rooms are equipped with inductophone loops: lecture hall 18 and 24, room 105 in the hall ‘Berlin’. The station inductophone loop is installed in the Dean’s Office building, room 6 (head of the Dean’s Office) and in the Faculty Library – Hall ‘Berlin’ room 16.

Braille signage will be placed above the room handles.

The facility is to be subjected to modernization works increasing accessibility: improving the marking of parking places.

Staircases equipped with handrails on both sides.

The entrances to the Shanghai building are not equipped with ramps.

The University’s facilities are not equipped with information systems for people with sensory disabilities, including guidance lines and attention fields, sound information systems.
