Bialystok University of Technology in the 2nd edition of Webometrics ranking

In the latest edition (July 2022) of the Web of Universities (Webometrics) Ranking, Bialystok University of Technology was ranked 1791st. This is two positions higher than in January this year.

In the Openness category, Bialystok University of Technology moved up from 1533rd place to position 1473. The promotion of 60 positions in Openness in six months is mainly due to the increasing number of employee accounts on Google Scholar.
 
 
The aim of the Webometrics ranking is to increase and promote the presence and visibility of academic and research institutions on the Internet and to promote open access to the publication of scientific results.

The Webometrics World University Ranking is prepared twice a year by CSIC, the Superior Council for Scientific Research in Madrid. The emphasis of the ranking is primarily on the communication of universities via the Internet, e.g. through online publishing, knowledge repositories or Open Access ventures.

The presence of Bialystok University of Technology in international rankings becomes, in a way, a showpiece of the university, a symbol of the quality of its research and education, it also emphasises the prestige of the university. It should be remembered that the whole academic community works for the results of the university. Academic staff should actively participate in all surveys conducted by both Polish and international ranking institutions.
