Our Professors at the ceremony in Belweder

On 18 May 2022, a ceremony of awarding professorial nominations was held in Belweder. In a numerous group of academic teachers, researchers and artists who received nomination acts from the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, there were also the lecturers of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences: Prof. Maria Jolanta Sulewska, DSc, PhD, Eng, Prof. Sławomir Bakier, DSc, PhD, Eng and Prof. Tomasz Oszako, DSc, PhD.

All three scientists received the title of professor by order of the President of the Republic of Poland in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the official presentation of nomination acts was possible only this year.
 
 
Prof. Maria Jolanta Sulewska, DSc, PhD, Eng is a long-term employee of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, currently associated with the Department of Geotechnics and Structural Mechanics. She received the title of professor of engineering sciences by the order of the President of the Republic of Poland on 21 September 2020.

Prof. Sławomir Bakier, DSc, PhD, Eng is the director of the Institute of Forest Sciences. By the order of the President of the Republic of Poland, he was awarded the title of Professor of Agricultural Sciences on 11 May 2020.

Prof. Tomasz Oszako, DSc, PhD is a forester and phytopathologist. He used to work in the Institute of Forest Sciences at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of BUT, now he is associated with the Forest Research Institute in Sękocin Stary. He received the title of professor of agricultural sciences by order of the President of the Republic of Poland on 11 May 2020.
