‘Towards E-coaching’ project awarded by FRSE

The ‘Towards e-coaching’ project was implemented between 1.03.2021- 28.02.2023 by the Faculty of Computer Science of Bialystok University of Technology (project leader) and the European partner universities:
- Tampereen Ammattikorkeakoulu oy Finland/ Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland
- Universitaet Leipzig Germany, Niemcy
- Polytechneio Kritis Greece/ Technical University of Crete, Greece
An international consortium of universities tackled this task by developing a methodology on teaching in a remote process using coaching techniques. The consortium’s activities were supported by a grant of EUR 254,729.00 from the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme under Action 2, Strategic partnerships for digital education in the higher education sector. The coordinator of the ‘Towards e-coaching’ project was Dorota Mozyrska, DSc, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology. The project team consisted of faculty members and Piotr Wołejsza, PhD of the Maritime University of Szczecin.
Results of the project:
- innovative didactic methodology for distance learning (E-Coach), which will lay the groundwork for building trust between the parties to the educational process;
- an integrated e-learning platform on the application of the E-Coaching methodology, including an activation programme for teachers;
- pilot examples of e-coaching courses, i.e. 12 registered classes in Mathematical Analysis, Algebra, Programming and Entrepreneurship using the innovative e-coaching methodology dedicated to higher education institutions.

The university’s activities under the programme ‘Towards e-coaching, the first step to build trust with a digital coach’ were coordinated by the Bialystok University of Technology’s International Relations Office team.
