International Project MAESTRO-AI of Bialystok University of Technology Secures 250,000 Euros in Erasmus+ Funding
18-07-2024The initiative was recognised in the latest competition announced by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps. Bialystok University of Technology received funding of 250,000 euros to implement the project “MAESTRO-AI – Math and Programming Education with Smart Teaching and Robust Outreach using AI at Universities.” The Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology will lead the project.
– In 2024, Bialystok University of Technology will begin implementing two more projects within Action 2 of the Higher Education sector – Cooperation Partnerships. Such undertakings contribute to the internationalisation of our university, the development of new teaching methods and tools, and build a network of international contacts among staff, which is also valuable for the development of scientific cooperation, – emphasises Assoc. Prof. Dorota Anna Krawczyk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Bialystok University of Technology.
The main idea of the MAESTRO-AI project is to stimulate innovative learning and teaching methods at universities in the age of artificial intelligence. The project aims to improve the quality of teaching, especially in mathematics and programming, by creating AI solutions that support the teaching process and monitor student progress, as well as developing new methods of engaging students.
Te zadania zrealizuje konsorcjum projektu, którego liderem jest Politechnika Białostocka. W jego skład wchodzą:

- Instituto Politécnico de Viseu (Portugal)

Prof. Ireneusz Mrozek, DSc, PhD, Anna Łupińska-Dubicka, PhD, Eng, Paweł Tadejko, PhD, Eng, Marzena Filipowicz-Chomko, PhD, Eng, Joanna Panasiuk, MSc.
Project duration: 1.09.2024 – 31.01.2027 (29 months).
