Bialystok University of Technology ranked 1st in the Web of Universities ranking (Webometrics)

We have something to be proud of! In the latest edition (July 2023) of the Web of Universities (Webometrics) Ranking, Bialystok University of Technology was ranked first among universities in the Podlaskie Voivodship!

Our University is ranked 28th in Poland out of 408 evaluated universities. It is worth mentioning that compared to the previous edition (January 2023), where 386 Polish HEIs were evaluated, Bialystok University of Technology maintained its position, which proves its growing reputation and importance on the national educational map.

Out of 12,002 higher education institutions evaluated worldwide, Bialystok University of Technology was ranked 1856th. In addition, Bialystok University of Technology won recognition in the Openness category, moving up one place in Poland compared to the January edition. Promoting open access to the publication of scientific results is becoming increasingly important in today’s academic and research environment.

The Webometrics ranking, published regularly since 2004, is an indicator of the importance and prestige of academic institutions on a global scale. It includes higher education institutions from more than 200 countries, demonstrating its international scope and role in assessing an individual’s standing on the international stage.
Bialystok University of Technology consistently strives to both improve the quality of education and research, which translates into an increasingly high position in international rankings and increased recognition in the academic community.
