Bialystok University of Technology to launch Erasmus+ InnHUB innovation centre

Bialystok University of Technology will be the only one in the region to launch an Erasmus+ InnHUB at the University. It will be an innovation centre that dedicates its activities to European educational programmes and the popularisation of the Erasmus+ offer.

The essence of innovation centres is cooperation with institutions – in particular universities, local government units, vocational training centres, schools and businesses through agreements to support innovation from the Erasmus+ programme. The signing of a cooperation agreement between the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, as the national operator of the Erasmus+ programme in Poland, and Bialystok University of Technology will take place on Thursday, 9 February 2023, at 3 p.m. in the Rectorate building of Bialystok University of Technology.

 

– The task of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Innovation Centre is to popularise knowledge about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, – informs Małgorzata Malinowska-Czuprys, MSc, Head of the International Relations Office at Bialystok University of Technology, Institutional Coordinator of the Erasmus+ programme. – As part of its activities, the Erasmus+ Innovation Centre InnHUB Białystok will be organising workshops and seminars at Bialystok University of Technology for anyone interested in applying for funding from the Erasmus+ programme, with the first ones planned for the end of February.

Another priority action is to support Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme by increasing the knowledge of the bodies that inform schools, universities, NGOs and businesses about opportunities for cooperation between organisations and institutions. As a result, it will be possible to achieve synergies between these actors.

In addition, the Erasmus+ InnHUB is involved in educational events, raising the level of innovation of Erasmus+ projects.

The mission of the Erasmus+ InnHUB is to focus on the promotion and interdisciplinary international cooperation between higher education institutions with their surrounding innovation ecosystems and to strengthen the links between education, research, innovation. Morover:

  • agreements to support innovation from the Erasmus+ programme;
  • workshops for innovation leaders who want to learn about the possibilities of the Erasmus+ programme;
  • promotional activities dedicated to European educational programmes and popularisation of the Erasmus+ offer;
  • organisation of promotional events (InnHUB Open Day);
  • supporting the development of vocational education and training programmes that offer a balanced set of vocational skills well adapted to economic cycles, constantly changing markets and working methods, key competences and provide opportunities for work-based learning;
  • promoting the concept of “European Universities”.

The Erasmus+ InnHUB cross-sectoral innovation centres are already in operation at Poznan University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology or the Cracow University of Economics.
