Researchers from Bialystok University of Technology in the TOP 2% of the world’s best scientists

Researchers from Bialystok University of Technology have been included in the prestigious TOP 2% (The World’s Top 2%) of the world’s best scientists.

The ranking was compiled by analysts from Stanford University and the publishing house Elsevier and SciTech Strategies. The ranking list contains the ranked names of the top 2% of scientists whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors.

The entire scientific output of individual researchers in all fields of science is assessed according to a bibliometric index that takes into account criteria such as Hirsch Index, number of citations (including self-citation), Impact Factor, place and role in the list of authors (first, last place).

 

The first list includes an assessment of the entire scientific career. Among the nearly 196,000 names, there are five employees of Bialystok University of Technology:

  • Prof. Tadeusz Kaczorek, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
  • Prof. Krzysztof J. Kurzydłowski, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,
  • Assoc. prof. Marek Drużdżel, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Computer Science,
  • Assoc. prof. Stanisław Jarząbek, DSc, PhD – Faculty of Computer Science,
  • Prof. Leonas Ustinovičius, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Management Engineering.

The second list includes an assessment of scientific achievements from 2021. Among the more than 200,000 names are four scientists from Bialystok University of Technology:

  • Prof. Tadeusz Kaczorek, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Electrical Engineering,
  • Krzysztof K. Żur, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,
  • Prof. Krzysztof J. Kurzydłowski, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,
  • Assoc. prof. Dariusz Szpica, DSc, PhD, Eng – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
