Bialystok University of Technology played a charity football match against Jagiellonia Białystok

Białystok University of Technology took part in a charity tournament “Match for a match with Jagiellonia Białystok”. BUT Student team took second place. The entry fee of each team will support the purchase of an ambulance for Lviv.
 
 

Bialystok University of Technology fielded two football teams in the charity tournament “Match for a match with Jagiellonia Bialystok”. The idea of this tournament was to collect money for the purchase of an ambulance for Lviv. It costs about a quarter of a million zlotys. During the collection, which has already lasted over a month, over 200 thousand zlotys were collected. The team of BUT Students was very close to winning the right to play against the players from Jagiellonia Białystok.

 

In the finals, after a dramatic second half, our players succumbed to the team of the State Fire Service 2:4. The team of BUT Employees took the fifth place in the final classification.

Fourteen teams took part in the tournament played on Sunday, 29 May 2022, on the side pitch of the city stadium, including:

The winning team of the State Fire Service lost the match against Jagiellonia Białystok 0:4. In the finals the following players played: Taras Romanczuk, Rafał Grzyb, Xavier Dziekoński, Mariusz Lisowski, Marek Citko, Jacek Chańko and Roberta Speichler. Jagiellonian academy players completed the line-up.
