Declaration of architectural accessibility of buildings of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Bialystok University of Technology

The building consists of 2 parts: a didactic building (4 floors), the main assembly hall divided into 3 parts.
The ramps for wheelchair users are located:
- at main entrances with automatic doors from the front of the building;
- at the back of the building.
The main entrance from the front of the building has a door that opens automatically.
Inside the building there are:
- toilets for people with disabilities on all floors of the teaching facility (limited maneuvering space),
- an elevator, automatically opening doors, Braille buttons,
- stairs in part A by the elevator equipped with handrails on both sides, other staircases in the building are not equipped with handrails on both sides.
Evacuation chairs for the disabled are located on all floors near the elevator.
You can enter the facility with an assistance dog (excluded rooms – laboratories).
Facility maps are available in the Zonifero application.
The university provides access to the Migam sign language interpreter service (in Polish), the service is active from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm.
The following teaching rooms are equipped with inductophone loops: lecture hall 030, part of the lecture hall I, room 109. The station inductophone loop is located in the dean’s office, room 001.
Room markings in braille were placed above the room handles.

There are no parking places for people with disabilities.
Rooms on the mezzanine floor between the ground floor and the 1st floor are currently not accessible to wheelchair users.
The facility is to be subject to modernization works increasing accessibility: additional parking places, a vertical platform providing access to the main assembly hall from the Faculty building, providing access to the mezzanine floor.
The University’s facilities are not equipped with information systems for people with sensory disabilities, including guidance lines and attention fields, sound information systems.
