The 2nd Scientific Conference “Innovation in Ecological Engineering” serves as a platform for scientific exchange and dissemination of research results that have the potential to enhance quality of life and improve the state of the environment.
The event brings together scientists, researchers and practitioners working in environmental protection, modern technologies and the impact of the environment on human health. It will be attended by students, doctoral candidates, researchers and companies from across Poland.
The conference theme has been designed to comprehensively address the relationship between technology and nature. Participants will focus on innovative solutions in ecological engineering, environmental monitoring and – particularly importantly – the impact of pollution on human health.
The thematic areas of the conference include:
- protection of ecosystems: the functioning of wetlands and aquatic systems under strong anthropogenic pressure,
- technical innovations: modern engineering and biotechnological solutions as well as the circular economy,
- health and technology: biomedical engineering and risk assessment of emerging threats such as micropollutants that may contribute to the development of non-communicable diseases (from allergies to cancer),
- food safety: product quality in the context of contemporary pollution.
- The 2nd Scientific Conference “Innovation in Ecological Engineering” is not limited to plenary sessions and paper presentations. The organisers have also planned:
- a field visit allowing participants to experience the unique character of the Podlasie region,
- a poster session providing an opportunity to present research by young scientists (including student scientific associations BioTech and ROLKA),
- an awards gala and a formal dinner fostering academia–industry networking.
