Bialystok University of Technology supports innovation within the Erasmus+ programme
Bialystok University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Foundation for the Development of the Education System – the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps, to support innovation in the Podlasie region through Erasmus+ programme.
 

Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with the Foundation for the Development of the Education System – the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps, together with representatives of four other universities from the Podlasie region.

The agreement aims to foster collaboration, primarily through the InnHub Innovation Centre based at Bialystok University of Technology, with regional universities and potentially more beneficiaries. Thanks to the establishment of the Erasmus+ Innovation Hub InnHUB Bialystok on the university’s campus, residents of Bialystok and the Podlaskie Voivodeship will gain access to innovative educational projects funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

– The Erasmus+ Innovation Hub InnHUB Białystok at Bialystok University of Technology is a facility of the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme in the Podlasie region, designed to benefit other universities in our area as well,’ explains the idea for the agreement Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, , Rector of Bialystok University of Technology. ‘We will intensify cooperation with four regional universities, those most active in the Erasmus+ programme. Together, we will develop our ideas for Erasmus+, exchange valuable contacts and best practices, and share our extensive experience in implementing various Erasmus+ projects.

The agreement involves five universities from the Podlasie region: Bialystok University of Technology, Lomza Academy, The State Vocational University of Prof. Edward F. Szczepanik in Suwalki, Medical University of Bialystok, and University of Bialystok.

– Each of the eight InnHUBs operating in Poland is located in a university, as they play a leading role in the Erasmus+ programme,’ says Miroslaw Marczewski, Director General of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System and Director of the National Agency of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programmes. ‘Together with the universities in Podlasie, we will work to promote lifelong learning.

The initiative targets school pupils, students, teachers, researchers, as well as representatives of local governments, NGOs, employers, and small and medium-sized enterprises. A budget of €26 billion has been allocated for education projects within the current edition of the programme (2021-2027)!

More than 130 people attended an informational meeting held on 17 January 2025 at the Centre for Modern Education at Bialystok University of Technology. Participants included representatives of businesses, local authorities, schools, and sports and non-governmental organisations.
