The student team Cerber Motorsport has added more achievements to their record. At the Formula Student Czech Republic competition, where they raced with their new hybrid car CMS-10, students from Bialystok University of Technology took 2nd place in the Acceleration event and 3rd place in Skidpad. Additionally, the team received the Scrutineering Star Award for the fastest technical inspection pass among combustion vehicles.

– We were recognised in two dynamic events: acceleration over a 75-metre distance and the figure-eight Skidpad test. The jury also appreciated our team for completing the technical inspection faster than any other combustion car, said Anna Tokarewicz from the Marketing section of Cerber Motorsport. – Unfortunately, during one of the final events – Endurance – a technical issue was spotted during the driver change, forcing us to withdraw from the race. Despite this setback, we’re returning from the Czech Republic with notable achievements and ready for the next challenge.

For students from Bialystok University of Technology, the Czech competition was their second race of the 2025 season. It took place just 10 days after the Formula Student Austria event, where the Cerber Motorsport team faced a serious technical problem – a failure of the engine controller. Despite intense repair attempts and the team’s full commitment, the malfunction prevented safe participation in the dynamic events.

The setback in Austria only further motivated the young engineers. From 4 August, on the Autodrom Most track, they successfully passed test after test and overcame challenges posed to the team and the car, which was designed and built from scratch by the Student Scientific Association Auto-Moto-Club at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Bialystok University of Technology.

The hybrid CMS-10 car was developed thanks to the efforts of students from various faculties of the university, with the project supported by the university and industry partners.

The Cerber Motorsport team is already preparing for their next race.

At the upcoming Formula Student Poland competition, scheduled for 29–30 August 2025, students from Bialystok University of Technology will defend their 2024 winning title in the CV category, which includes combustion and hybrid vehicles.

The team’s organisation and development are supported by the City of Bialystok and the Ministry of Education and Science under the “Student Scientific Associations Create Innovations” programme. The students’ travel is also supported by strategic partners: the City of Bialystok and the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
