About the ranking:
The Round University Ranking (RUR) is a prestigious global academic ranking that has assessed the performance of leading higher education institutions worldwide since 2013. The ranking draws on information from three independent main data sources:
- statistical data – universities participating in the ranking report their raw numerical data once a year as part of a dedicated global research project (Global Institutional Profiles Project);
- bibliometric data – a five-year publication and citation period is taken into account, with data based on bibliometric systems such as The Lens, Web of Science Core Collection, Scopus and Google Scholar;
- reputation data – a survey (Academic Reputation Survey) distributed among approximately 10,000 randomly selected researchers whose names and academic achievements are included in international databases.
Participation in such prestigious global rankings enables Bialystok University of Technology not only to monitor its performance against leading academic institutions worldwide, but also to set further goals in the areas of research, education and internationalisation.
