The International Young Researchers Conference: Ideas, Research, Training (IRT) is a unique platform for knowledge exchange created specifically for students, doctoral students, and young researchers. The event is interdisciplinary in nature, bringing together specialists from engineering and technical sciences (ranging from automation, computer science and electronics to biomedical, chemical, mechanical and materials engineering) with experts in management and quality sciences.
This year, the event will bring together as many as 88 young researchers. During the conference sessions, 34 papers and 47 posters will be presented, showcasing the latest trends and upcoming challenges in contemporary science.
— This is a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and present the results of the latest scientific achievements to a wide audience. Participation in the conference enables young researchers to exchange knowledge and build a valuable professional network, which is essential in the work of a young researcher — emphasises Adriana Dowbysz, MSc Eng., from the Doctoral School of Bialystok University of Technology, Chair of the IRT Organising Committee.
International Reach and Support from Prestigious Institutions
The conference continues to grow in stature each year, attracting doctoral students from leading academic centres in Poland and across Europe. This year, we will welcome representatives of:
- Bialystok University of Technology,
- Warsaw University of Technology,
- Military University of Technology,
- Lodz University of Technology,
- Maritime University of Szczecin,
- Medical University of Bialystok,
- Lomza Academy,
as well as:
- Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania),
- University of Girona (Spain),
- Chemnitz University of Technology (Germany),
- University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
(The last three universities are partners of Bialystok University of Technology within the Across European University alliance.)
A lasting outcome of this year’s discussions will be a peer-reviewed scientific monograph (worth 20 points according to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education list), providing a valuable overview of emerging global research trends.
Specialist Training Sessions and Awards
In addition to the traditional oral presentation sessions, the organisers have ensured opportunities for participants to develop practical skills. On the first substantive day of the conference (10 June), a specialist training session will be delivered by Małgorzata Kopycińska-Müller, DSc, PhD, Eng., from the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS-MD (Dresden, Germany).
The conference will conclude on 11 June with an official ceremony during which the jury will present awards for the best presentations and scientific contributions of this year’s edition.
