For two days, the Bialystok University of Technology campus was transformed into a huge festival town. Juwenalia Białystok 2026 was opened by the Student Parade.
The symbolic keys to the city of Białystok were handed over to the students by Rafał Rudnicki, Deputy President of the City of Białystok. He was joined by Łukasz Prokorym, Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, and Tomasz Klim, also Deputy President of the City of Białystok.
– The parade is the perfect opening of Juwenalia for students – parade participants said enthusiastically. – Everyone stands still, we ride, we walk, everyone waves at us, we smile, the city is colourful, so this is that one moment in the year to go through the city, have fun, play music and dance. Who wouldn’t want that – we get the keys, the city is ours.
From NZS Square towards the Bialystok University of Technology, a mass of costumed students set off in the parade.
– I have a sword and Malenia’s armour from Elden Ring – one of the parade participants colourfully described her outfit. There were costumes of the Mandalorian, and a student from the Medical University of Bialystok chose a traditional Lemko costume.
The most impressive were the vehicles built by students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Bialystok University of Technology. At the front – a huge monster truck. In handing over the keys to the city to the students, Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng., Rector of the Bialystok University of Technology, took part.
– I love live concerts, and here we have a whole showcase of artists, a galaxy of different music genres, and I am interested in every one of them – said Prof. Kosior-Kazberuk. – Every performer is a star. We listened both live and on records. Some we have known for 30 years or more. So we will see what surprises they have for us, because artists often surprise.
Many people came to the Bialystok University of Technology campus from across the voivodeship and other regions of Poland. The line-up was a major draw, featuring both music scene veterans such as Maryla Rodowicz, Bajm with Beata Kozidrak, Lady Pank, and Dżem on the main stage of the Bialystok University of Technology, as well as hip-hop stars spanning several decades. Pezet, White 2115, Kaz Bałagane, PRO8L3M and Bambi had a separate large hip-hop stage. Importantly, only students chose which performers they wanted to invite to their Juwenalia.
– We create this event not only for students, which is evident from the line-up. There are both older bands and hip-hop stars. It is a mixed type of music so that everyone can find something for themselves. And indeed, you can see the younger audience, the older audience, and mixed crowds – said Karolina Baluta, coordinator of Juwenalia 2026, for Radio Białystok.
Juwenalia Białystok 2026 also featured a large amusement park, a tent with club music and turbo folk, and a photo booth at the Bialystok University of Technology. Instant photos are a perfect keepsake of friendships made and moments shared during the concerts.
Over the two days, approximately 40,000 people passed through the Juwenalia grounds on the Bialystok University of Technology campus. In addition, there was full technical support and over a hundred volunteers from all Białystok universities.
– This year’s edition exceeded our wildest expectations – the organisers of Juwenalia Białystok summarised on social media – the Student Self-Government of the Bialystok University of Technology and the Bialystok University of Technology Alumni Association. – We thank everyone who was with us under the stage, at the Student Parade, in every event zone and during every Juwenalia moment. For every song sung, every dance, and the atmosphere we created together. Huge thanks also go to the artists, partners, sponsors, services, volunteers and the entire organisational team – without you, this event would not have had such impact. None of this would have happened without the Bialystok University of Technology and the irreplaceable Rector Marta Kosior-Kazberuk. Thanks to the University’s enormous support and the Rector’s involvement, we can jointly organise the largest student celebration in the region.
