Two million zlotys for Bialystok University of Technology for mobilities to universities worldwide

Bialystok University of Technology has received PLN 1,967,479.99 for the implementation of the project “PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange.” The main goal of the project is to develop the competencies of students, PhD students, and academic staff from Poland and abroad, as well as to improve the quality of education through the introduction of short-term international scholarship exchanges lasting from 5 to 30 days. The university will also allocate funds to organise international conferences.
The project will be implemented from 1st October 2024 for a period of 12 months. A total of 220 people will benefit, including 115 students, 63 PhD students, and 42 academic staff members.
The project will facilitate mobilities for students/PhD students/staff of Bialystok University of Technology to foreign institutions:
- study visits to continue existing collaborations or establish new contacts at recognised research centres and prestigious foreign universities, including the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (USA), Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), TUD Dresden University of Technology (Germany), Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (India), Uka Tarsadia University (India), Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico), and TalTech Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia);
- participation in workshops and courses organised by leading academic and research institutions;
- acquisition of materials for scientific articles;
- participation in conferences organised by renowned and well-established institutions in the scientific community.
Bialystok University of Technology will also host students, PhD students, and academic staff from foreign universities, who will:
- participate in interdisciplinary summer schools;
- take part in the international Digital Architecture Research DARe conference at the Faculty of Architecture of Bialystok University of Technology;
- visit Bialystok University of Technology as part of study visits;
- with the support of academic supervisors from Bialystok University of Technology, seek materials for doctoral theses or scientific articles.
The “PROM – Short-Term Academic Exchange” programme is funded by the European Union as part of the project titled “Short-Term Academic Exchange as a Means of Improving the Quality of Education in Higher Education and Research Institutions” under project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0218/23.
