Convenient collection
Users of the Bialystok University of Technology Library have been using a return box for several years, which allows for convenient book returns. From now on, they can also use a modern book locker for collecting previously ordered materials. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
– This is a great convenience for our students and staff – says Elżbieta Kierejczuk, MA, Director of the Bialystok University of Technology Library. – A valid Bialystok University of Technology Library card is required.
The operation of the book locker is intuitive.
– First, we order a book in the library catalogue, selecting the book locker as the collection option. Then, just go to the device and log in to your account using your user ID. The compartment in which the ordered book has been placed will open automatically – explains the Director.
Convenient location
The Książkomat book locker is located in front of the entrance to the Centre for Modern Education building of Bialystok University of Technology (16 Zwierzyniecka Street). This is where the main seat of the Bialystok University of Technology Library is located.
The device has 42 compartments. Each of them can hold up to five books. The book locker allows for faster and more flexible access to the university’s extensive collection, also outside the library’s opening hours.
– I encourage you to test the device and see for yourself how easy and convenient it is to use library services in a modern way! – says Elżbieta Kierejczuk, MA.
Innovations at the Bialystok University of Technology Library
The purchase of the book locker was carried out as part of the project “PB Dostępna 2.0 – a modern university for everyone” (contract no. FERS.03.01-IP.08-0116/24-00).
The visual design of the device was prepared by graphic designers from the Promotion Department of Bialystok University of Technology.
Thanks to the “PB Dostępna 2.0” project, the Bialystok University of Technology Library has also been equipped with three modern magnifiers with a function of reading scanned text aloud and translating it into foreign languages.
