Several people are seated in rows in a lecture hall. The participants are wearing formal or semi-formal clothing and have name badges around their necks. In the background, more people and rows of blue chairs are visible.
The 2nd International Young Researchers Conference: Ideas, Research, Training was held at Bialystok University of Technology. The event brought together over 50 young researchers, doctoral students, and students from Poland and abroad, interested in exchanging experiences and promoting the results of their scientific work.

The second edition of the International Young Researchers Conference at Bialystok University of Technology was attended by representatives of the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), Silesian University of Technology, Poznan University of Technology, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Rzeszow University of Technology, Lomza Academy, and the Doctoral School of Bialystok University of Technology. During paper and poster sessions, as well as training sessions, they shared their ideas, presented research findings, and established contacts with representatives of the scientific and business communities.

– The entire meeting is aimed at sharing experiences and the latest knowledge in engineering and technical sciences, as well as management sciences – said Adriana Dowbysz, MSc Eng., Chair of the BUT Doctoral Student Self-Government and conference organiser. – This is an opportunity not only to present our research, but also our ideas. We inspire each other to take further actions. All the findings presented during the paper and poster sessions will be published in a post-conference monograph. This is an added value that will contribute to the scientific development of young researchers.

For young researchers – students, PhD students, or recent PhDs – participating in scientific conferences is a valuable investment in their academic and professional careers. It brings numerous benefits that are difficult to achieve otherwise.

– Events like this allow us to exchange information about ongoing research, but above all to establish very interesting collaborations that later result in joint projects, joint research teams, and enable us to go beyond the borders of Poland and reach the international scientific community – emphasised Michał Klimczyk from the Doctoral School of Engineering and Technical Sciences at Rzeszow University of Technology, President of the National Representation of Doctoral Students for the 2023–2024 term. – Science should never be confined to the laboratory. It must be based on collaboration. At events like the conference at Bialystok University of Technology, we can discuss these matters and expand the impact of our scientific activities.

The International Young Researchers Conference: Ideas, Research, Training at Bialystok University of Technology was held for the second time. The event is gaining popularity in the doctoral student community.

As Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, emphasised, the conference aligns perfectly with the university’s mission. It promotes the Doctoral School of BUT and stimulates the academic development of early-career researchers.

– This is an extremely important meeting because it involves discussion and presentation of scientific topics explored by young researchers that contribute to the development of Polish science – said Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, Rector of Bialystok University of Technology. – It brings tremendous value to the integration of the young researchers’ community and will lead to future collaboration on scientific and organisational matters, as well as contribute to the growth of all research units represented at the conference.

The 2nd International Young Researchers Conference: Ideas, Research, Training was held at Bialystok University of Technology on 25–26 June 2025. It facilitated the promotion of research and development activities in the following scientific disciplines:

  • automatic control,
  • electronics, electrical engineering, and space technologies,
  • computer and telecommunications engineering,
  • biomedical engineering,
  • civil engineering,
  • geodesy and transport,
  • mechanical engineering,
  • environmental engineering,
  • mining and energy,
  • chemical engineering,
  • materials engineering,
  • management and quality studies.

The 2nd International Young Researchers Conference: Ideas, Research, Training was organised by the BUT Doctoral Student Self-Government, the Doctoral School of Bialystok University of Technology, and the Agreement of Doctoral Students of Technical Universities. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology, the President of Bialystok, and the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It was co-financed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education as part of a commissioned task entitled Via Carpatia Polytechnic Network named after the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński.
