Dr Oleksii Dniprov, Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, visits Bialystok University of Technology

Dr Oleksii Dniprov has been the Rector of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) since 18 April 2024. His visit to Bialystok University of Technology provided an opportunity to familiarise himself with the potential of our university and to discuss opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the agreement currently in force between the institutions.
The visit began with a presentation of the university by Assoc. Prof. Dorota Anna Krawczyk, DSc, PhD, Eng., Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, followed by a discussion on potential cooperation, which was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Mirosław Świercz, DSc, PhD, Eng., Vice-Rector for Development, and Prof. Marek Krętowski, DSc, PhD, Eng., Vice-Rector for Research.
During the discussions with the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, the parties raised the issue of signing an Erasmus+ agreement and the participation of KNUCA students in next year’s summer schools organised at Bialystok University of Technology, as well as other joint initiatives.
During his visit, Dr Oleksii Dniprov, Rector of KNUCA, toured the Centre for History of Bialystok University of Technology and the university library.
Representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering presented the faculty’s laboratories and facilities. At the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, the Rector met with Prof. Michał Bołtryk, DSc, PhD, Eng., Dean of the Faculty, and visited the INNO-EKO-TECH Centre and laboratory base.
Dr Oleksii Dniprov, Rector of KNUCA, expressed great appreciation for the modern and well-equipped research infrastructure of our university.
The visit concluded with a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Tatiana Misijuk, DSc, PhD, Eng. Arch., Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and Adam Jakimowicz, PhD, Eng. Arch., Vice-Dean for Development and Cooperation at the Faculty of Architecture, during which further opportunities for collaboration were discussed.
Bialystok University of Technology looks forward to further developing cooperation between our institutions.
