Erasmus Days at Bialystok University of Technology – Guidelines on How to Become an Exchange Student
06-03-2025
International Relations Offices organised informational meetings featuring faculty Erasmus coordinators and students from the Erasmus Student Network at all faculties of Bialystok University of Technology. Students who had spent one or two semesters at a foreign partner university shared their Erasmus experiences.
– Many new friendships, integration, and exciting study experiences, – said Maciej Słota, an architecture student at the Faculty of Architecture at Bialystok University of Technology, who had just returned from his Erasmus exchange in Portugal. – I was able to develop my creativity more since the Portuguese university focused primarily on the artistic side of architectural projects. At our faculty, we concentrate more on the technical aspects.
Anita Jurkowska, a student from the Faculty of Computer Science, spent two semesters at Universidad de Almería in Spain.
– The first few weeks were quite challenging—new surroundings, a different country, new people. But over time, you adapt. I chose subjects that were taught in both Spanish and English. I passed everything, and the lecturers were helpful and understanding. Sometimes, I had no other Erasmus students in my group, only Spaniards. Seeing a new face, they would approach and ask if they could help me settle in, – Anita Jurkowska recalled.
