Bialystok University of Technology ranked 6th in Poland in the Governance category of the QS World University Sustainability 2025 Ranking

The commitment of Bialystok University of Technology authorities to the implementation of best practices in areas such as ethics, recruitment procedures, transparency in decision-making and taking into account the voice of student organisations is particularly noteworthy. Thanks to these activities, Bialystok University of Technology achieved a significant success, taking a high 6th place in Poland and ex aequo 319th place worldwide in the Governance category. This is a step up from the previous year, by as many as 5 positions at the national level and 567 places in the global ranking.

 
The QS World University Sustainability 2025 Ranking included 1744 institutions from 107 countries, including 22 from Poland.

Bialystok University of Technology ranked 12th in Poland and was placed in the 1001-1020 place range globally, improving its position from the previous year by three places in Poland and by as many as ten ranges globally.
 
 

Bialystok University of Technology achieved an equally high position – 6th place in Poland and 760th in the world in the Environmental Impact category, in the environmental sustainability indicator.

The world leaders in this year’s ranking were the University of Toronto, ETH Zurich and ex aequo the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Lund. In Poland, Warsaw University, Jagiellonian University and the University of Gdansk lead the way.

The QS World University Sustainability 2025 methodology is based on three categories:

1. Environmental Impact (Environmental Impact) aggregating three indicators: environmental sustainability, environmental education and environmental research;
2. Social Impact (Social Impact) aggregating five indicators: equality, knowledge sharing, education impact, employability and health and wellbeing;
3. Governance taking into account factors related to good governance: ethics, employment practices, transparency, decision-making.
