Researchers from Bialystok University of Technology among the TOP 2% of the World’s Best Scientists!
Prof. Tadeusz Kaczorek, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Bialystok University of Technology, is the highest-ranked scientist from the university in Stanford University’s TOP 2% list for lifetime achievements. In the ranking evaluating scientific output for the year 2023 alone, the highest position was taken by Prof. Krzysztof Żur from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Bialystok University of Technology.
 

The Top 2% list of the most influential scientists is compiled by Stanford University in cooperation with Elsevier and SciTech Strategies. The ranking includes researchers from around the world and is based on their scientific contributions. Evaluation criteria include the number of citations by other authors, the Hirsch index (h-index), and the position and role of the researcher in the author list of publications. The data for the ranking is drawn from the Scopus database.

Stanford University compiles two types of rankings. The first considers a scientist’s entire career (up to the end of 2023), while the second focuses on contributions within a specific calendar year, in this case, 2023. A total of 10 researchers from Bialystok University of Technology are featured across both lists.
