Biometrics – intelligent solutions

The Project is implemented within the SPINAKER Programme – International Intensive Programmes run by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). It provides for the organization of a summer school – “Biometrics – intelligent solutions”.

The Project assumes the participation of 45 participants from foreign universities.

The Project will be implemented by Biometrics Team of Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology (BUT), led by prof. Khalid Saeed. Specialists from foreign universities will join the didactic process as well. The students will combine full-time classes at BUT with remote work. They will have the opportunity to participate in 20 hours of lectures (10 remote and 10 at the BUT) and 20 hours of practical classes (all at the BUT) in the field of biometrics. The subjects have been divided into 3 blocks:

1. Introduction to intelligent methodologies in image and signal processing.
2. Introduction to biometrics.
3. Implementation and practical use of selected biometrics methods.

The school program also includes cultural and sport events.
