Academic Secondary School of the Białystok University of Technology

ALOPB is a non-public secondary school for youth aged 14–18. It operates in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable to public schools and is an integral part of the Bialystok University of Technology. Founded in 2016, the school is aimed at ambitious and talented students who wish to pursue their education in the field of science, utilizing modern technologies and fully equipped scientific laboratories offered by our institution.
The core of the ALOPB curriculum consists of advanced (extended-level) classes in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Students can also choose either German or Russian as their second foreign language.

Our students can boast outstanding achievements, including:

Securing university places as early as their first year of study at our school (including at the Bialystok University of Technology, the Medical University of Gdańsk, the Warsaw University of Technology, and the Gdańsk University of Technology).

Receiving numerous grants and scholarships, such as the Prime Minister’s Award, artistic awards, the Most Innovative Technology Award, the “Diamond Discoverers” (Odkrywcy Diamentów) Award, and the Copernicus Science Centre Award.

Winning top positions in other nationwide competitions – including technical, IT, scientific, linguistic, social, and even legal and artistic contests (e.g., “Project with my Class”, El-Robo-Mech, Young Innovator, Education Designers, the National Competition in Economics and Entrepreneurship, Mission Book, the National Competition on Student Rights, Applied Mathematics, the Naboj international mathematical competition, and Galileo).

Białystok University of Technology jis the largest technical university in north-eastern Poland. The university has over 70 years of tradition, conducts studies in a three-cycle system – first-cycle studies (3-year undergraduate and 3.5-year engineering studies), second-cycle (1.5 or 2-year master’s) and doctoral studies (third-cycle, 4 years).
About Białystok University of Technology
Nearly 60 student interest clubs operate at the Białystok University of Technology. They give the opportunity to implement original projects and ideas, from electronic systems to Formula Student racing cars. It is conducting research in cooperation with mentors, such as the GeoCon innovative building material project. It is the creation of scientific articles or other valuable studies, such as the “Guide to wooden Podlasie”, which popularizes the architectural heritage of our region. Białystok University of Technology also gives students the opportunity to implement their own original projects and ideas.
