Administrator’s information in relation to data processing

  2. The Administrator of your personal data is Bialystok University of Technology, at 45A, Wiejska street, 15-351 Bialystok (hereinafter referred to as the University), tel. 85 746 90 00, www.bip.pb.edu.pl, e-mail: rektorat@pb.edu.pl;

  3. Data Protection Inspector
  4. Pursuant to Art. (37 (1) (a) GDPR, the Administrator has appointed the Data Protection Inspector whom you may contact: iod@pb.edu.pl with regard to your data processing.

  5. Purposes and legal basis of data processing
  6. Your personal data will be processed because:

    • we comply with legal obligations incumbent on the Administrator – pursuant to art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR*;
    • we are performing tasks in the public interest or in the exercise of public authority – pursuant to art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR;
    • we are performing contractual obligations or taking action at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract – pursuant to art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR;

    In specific situations, there may also be other reasons for processing your data, i.e. your consent to the extent and for the purpose given in the content of your consent – art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

    If you address correspondence to us by email, postal mail or telephone not related to the services provided by us or in connection with a contract concluded with us, the personal data contained in such correspondence is processed for the sole purpose of communication and the handling of the matter to which the correspondence relates. The legal basis for the data processing is art. 6 (1) (e) GDPR.

  7. Retention period
  8. Your personal data will be stored for the periods necessary to fulfil the purposes set out above, for the duration of the legal period for archiving or until you withdraw your consent.

  9. Recipients of data
  10. Your personal data may be made available to the authorized employees of Bialystok University of Technology, entities authorized by law or to other entities who process personal data administered by Bialystok University of Technology on the basis of relevant agreements signed with Bialystok University of Technology.

  11. Regulations regarding data processing
  12. You have the right to access your data, receive copies of your data, and, within the regulations of the law, to:

    • rectify your data,
    • erase your data,
    • restrict the processing of your data,
    • transfer your data,
    • object to the processing of your data,

    You have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate supervisory authority, i.e. Head of the Office for Personal Data Protection, if you believe that processing of your personal data violates the data protection legislation.

  13. Obligation to provide data and consequences of no provision
  14. Your provision of personal data, depending on the purpose and legal basis of the processing, may be a statutory or contractual requirement or a condition for entering into a contract.
    If you send us correspondence by e-mail, post or telephone that is not related to the services provided by us or any other contract concluded with us, the provision of data is a contractual requirement and you are obliged to provide it. The consequence of failing to provide personal data will be that the matter to which the correspondence relates cannot be dealt with.

  15. Information on automated decision-making
  16. The Administrator does not process the provided personal data in a way that involves automated processing, including profiling.
    Detailed information regarding: the legal basis and purpose of processing your personal data, the recipients of the data, the retention period, your rights, any obligation to provide the data and the potential consequences of failing to provide the data will be provided to you when the data is obtained for a specific purpose.
