A two-day meeting on innovative materials and technologies is scheduled for 7-8.11 at Bialystok University of Technology. Prominent specialists and practitioners have been invited to participate, and details of the event were announced on Wednesday, 30.10, at the Bialystok University of Technology’s Learning Center.
The press briefing was attended by Marshal Lukasz Prokorym, as a representative of the Marshal Office of Podlaskie Region – a strategic partner of the conference.
LIMACON 2024 will be a platform for the exchange of experience between academia and the industrial sector, promoting cooperation at the regional, national and international levels.
The Marshal stressed that such projects have a major impact on the development of the region.
Furthermore Marshal, Łukasz Prokorym pointed out that Bialystok University of Technology – a place where science meets business – shows that the university is also responsible for the development of the region in which it operates. I congratulate the director and representatives of clusters on this joint action. You show that the region is a modern innovative region,” he said, ”I believe that the ideas that will be born will translate into good for our companies.
Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, Rector of the Bialystok University of Technology, noted that during the conference the latest trends will be realized, promoted and developed when it comes to materials engineering in the fields of composite materials, hybrid materials, lightweight structures and closed-loop economy.
Rector of BUT draw our attention in particular to materials, which at the moment are the future of materials engineering, because they are used in many industries and there are more and more applications. She emphasized that these materials are the most necessary when it comes to the development of new technologies.
Participants at LIMACON 2024 include scientists, industry experts and representatives of the socio-economic sector from Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The conference is open and free of charge for participants, which allows wide access for all those interested in modern technologies. A special invitation is extended to representatives of companies from the Podlaskie Voivodeship, academics, doctoral students, students and supporters of modern material technologies.
The event announcing this international event was also attended by representatives of the co-organizers: Janusz Poulakowski – chief operating officer of the Evoluma Industrial Cluster, and Tomasz Kozlowski – president of the Polish Construction Cluster.
The conference is organized by Bialystok University of Technology and Key National Clusters (Evoluma Industry Cluster, Polish Construction Cluster and Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies) with strategic partner of Marshal Office of Podlaskie Region.
