What is the Summer School about?
Participants will take part in an intensive 80-hour training programme, including:
- 40 hours of lectures and 40 hours of practical classes,
- teaching materials and access to specialist programming tools,
- classes delivered by an international team of lecturers,
- three thematic blocks:
- Fundamentals of Biometric Systems,
- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence,
- Artificial Intelligence in Biometrics.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to:
- Foreign students (30 places) and doctoral students (15 places),
- studying in technical fields related to: computer science, electronics, physics, or mathematics
You must have:
- basic Python programming skills,
- sufficient knowledge of English to:
- understand lectures and instructions,
- take part in discussions and workshops,
- read teaching materials and use tools in English.
Your programming skills will be checked during a qualifying test in the recruitment process.
Accepted proof of English language skills includes:
- international certificates (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Cambridge), or
- an official university certificate confirming completion of a course taught in English.
Financial support
Accepted participants will receive:
- a lump sum for travel costs,
- a lump sum for accommodation and living expenses,
- a scholarship.
