Dr. Anita Pal, department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology Durgapur, West Bengal, India. She is involved in teaching and research for more than twelve years. She is teaching several courses in Mathematics for the B. Tech., M.Sc. (Mathematics), M. Tech (Operations Research). She has published more than 160 research papers in reputed national and international journals and 21 conference papers. Many of her publications are in many SCI and Scopus indexed journals.  A good number of students are working under her supervision Dr. Pal has successfully guided 13 research scholars for Ph.D. degrees and 5 more are working under her supervision and 21 M.Tech and MSc project thesis. Her specializations include Algorithmic Graph Theory, Fuzzy Mathematics and Operations Research. Dr. Pal is the author of the books “Engineering Mathematics –Vol. I & II”, PHI Learning, New Delhi and a book chapter of “Rough Sets, Fuzzy Sets and Soft Computing” Narosa Publishing house, New Delhi, Feb 2015. She also worked as Guest Editor of Annals of Pure and Applied Mathematics, House of Scientific Research, Vol 5, Number 1, 2013. Published a book with IGI Global, USA in Aug 2019. She organized more than 20 national seminars/ conferences/ workshop. Till date she has attended 43 national/ International conferences/ workshops/ seminars in India and abroad. Also, visited China, USA, London, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Oman, Greece, Dubai, Spain and Bangladesh to participate, deliver invited talks and chaired in national and international seminars/ conferences/ winter school/ refresher courses. She is the member of several administrative and academic bodies in NIT Durgapur and other institutes. She is also life member of the Calcutta Mathematical Society, Advanced Discrete Mathematics and Application ADMA, ORSI, Indian Mathematical Society, Indian Society for technical education ISTE etc. Currently she is also the Secretary of ORSI Durgapur Chapter. She has successfully completed three high budget research projects sponsored by DST, Govt of India. She is member of editorial board of many journals like International Journal of Computer and Information Technology, Annals of Pure and Applied Mathematics and etc. She is also reviewer of many reputed journals. She has good collaboration with Industry and reputed academic Institutions in India and abroad. Other than academics she is also involved in social work. She is working as Vice
President in Purbachal Ananda Foundation PAF, a non profit NGO since last 10 years.
