Świdnica Cellar
It is in Poland that you can dine in probably the oldest restaurant in Europe. Its name is Piwnica Świdnicka (Świdnica Cellar) and it has been operating continuously since 1273. The restaurant is based in the medieval cellars of the Old Town Hall in Wrocław, in south-western Poland. Its name is linked with the nearby Świdnica brewery whose beer (piwo) used to be served there. At the moment, the restaurant is looking for a new investor so it is closed temporarily.
