60-hour A1(a) course

60-hour course of Polish for complete beginners – level A1(a)

The full A1 course program includes 120 hours of study and consists of two parts: A 60-hour A1(a) course taught in the spring semester and a 60-hour A1(b) course taught in the winter semester of academic year 2026/2027 (from October).

The language of instruction: Polish, with the teacher supplementing in English and, to a lesser extent, Russian. The teacher has many years of experience of teaching Polish as a foreign language and is also a certified examiner for state Polish language exams.

Due to the summer vacation season, which lasts through the end of August, we will contact you starting September 4, 2026. However, you are welcome to register today to secure your spot in the group.

All of our courses will begin around October 7, 2026.

During this course you will acquire basic ability to communicate in typical everyday situations, e.g. in a shop, on the bus, at the railway station, at the dean’s office, you’ll practice asking the way, ordering meals, understanding weather forecast, reading and writing simple text messages, etc. You will also get acquainted with some elements of Polish culture, customs and contemporary socio-economic issues.      

Classes are held twice a week in the afternoon; they run from October 2026 till February 2027, with the possibility of continuation in the spring semester, as this is a course designed for one year of study (120 teaching hours).

Price:

is based on the number of people in the group. Groups of 6–7 people and 8–10 people. Depending on the option you choose, the course fee can be as low as 1,568 PLN. These options include a discount program for a one-time payment before the course begins and for continuing your studies at our center. You also have the option to spread the full payment over 3 installments.
