Information on the processing of personal data for the purposes of organising courses
Information provided by the Administrator in connection with the processing of personal data for the purposes of organising courses – pursuant to Article 13(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (GDPR)
- The administrator of your personal data is the Białystok University of Technology, Wiejska 45A, 15-351 Białystok (hereinafter referred to as the University), tel.: 85 746 90 00, www.bip.pb.edu.pl, e-mail: rektorat [at] pb.edu.pl.
- In accordance with Article 37(1)(a) GDPR, the Administrator has appointed the Data Protection Inspector with whom, in matters relating to the processing of personal data, you may contact by email at iod [at] pb.edu.pl.
- Your personal data will be processed:
- for the purposes of registration for and organisation of courses – on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR,
- for accounting purposes, in connection with compliance with a legal obligation to which the Administrator is subject – on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR,
- for the purposes of debt recovery and/or pursuing claims, as necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator – on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR,
- for the purposes of documenting the conduct of the courses and their promotion through the processing of images of course participants, to the extent to which permission to disseminate an image is not required under copyright law – on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR,
- for the purpose of providing information about cultural and training events organised by Bialystok University of Technology, on the basis of the consent given – Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
- The recipients of your personal data may include banks, postal and courier service providers, entities providing services to the University, including internet service providers and legal service providers, users of the Administrator’s websites and social media platforms on which the Administrator has an account – with regard to the processing of participants’ images – and other entities authorised under applicable law.
- Your personal data will be stored for the periods necessary to achieve the purposes specified above and subsequently for the period required by applicable law./li>
- You have the right to access your data, and, within the regulations of the law, to:
- withdraw the consent granted, provided that the withdrawal of the consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent granted before its withdrawal,
- rectify your data,
- erase your data,
- restrict the data processing,
- object to the processing of your data.
- If you consider that the processing of personal data violates generally applicable provisions in this respect, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
- The provision of your personal data is voluntary but necessary to participate in the course. Failure to provide your personal data will result in your being unable to participate in the course.
- Your personal data will not be used for automated decision-making or profiling as referred to in Article 22 of the Regulation.
