Photography and language contest ‘A story in one moment’

The Foreign Language Centre of Bialystok University of Technology invites you to take part in the 5th edition of the photography and language contest.

One photo, one moment – and a whole story behind it. Capture a moment that speaks louder than words and tell your story in a foreign language of your choice.

How to take part?

• Take a photo inspired by this year’s theme.
• Add a title and a short description (200–500 characters) in one of the following languages:
  • English
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Russian
• Fill in the entry form and submit your work.

Contest timeline

• Submissions: until 24 April 2026
• Public Vote: 29 April – 7 May 2026
• Results announcement: 12 May 2026
• Awards ceremony: 13 May 2026

Entries will be judged by a jury based on relevance to the theme, language quality and artistic value. In addition to the main awards, one photo will win the Audience Award — determined by the number of votes cast via Microsoft Forms.
