Water Issues in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) – Information Session about the Baltic University Programme
10-12-2025Yesterday, on 9 December 2025, an information session Water Issues in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) dedicated to the Baltic University Programme (BUP) took place in Auditorium 031 of the CNK Building. The meeting was led by Aniela Staszewska, who presented the programme and the opportunities it offers to the academic community of Bialystok University of Technology.
The BUP is a network of over 110 universities from the Baltic Sea Region and neighbouring countries, focusing on sustainable development, the environment, democracy, and global citizenship. During the event, participants learned about:

a wide range of international BUP courses addressing key sustainability topics,
-
opportunities to take part in student projects, conferences, summer schools, and events organised within the network,

ways to establish contacts with students and researchers from 14 countries,
-
the main thematic areas of BUP, including issues related to climate, water, energy, and sustainable consumption.
The session attracted students interested in developing their competences in international cooperation and research related to the Baltic Sea Region.
