A visit to the University of Foggia (Universita’ Degli Studi di Foggia)
09-06-2022From 2nd to 6th May 2022, Monika Śleszyńska, MA and Halina Bramska, MA of the Foreign Language Centre were visiting the University of Foggia in Italy. They prepared classes on Polish culture, elements of Italian language apparent in English and Polish, as well as classes on academic and technical writing.
– We were impressed by the openness of the International Relations Office (Unità Cooperazione Internazionale) and by the fact that it employs young Ukrainian trainees. The University does it best to help them by scholarships and extending their stay for another term. Flags with Pace (peace) written on them, as well as ribbons in the colours of Ukraine can be spotted in many places in Foggia. You can hear Ukrainian and Russian on the street – the city accepted refugees – Monika Śleszyńska, MA said.
Universita’ Degli Studi di Foggia is hosting International Week in Vieste from 7th to 11th June 2022. The meeting’s topic is: “Rethinking University: Open Education Resources and Digital Scholarship”. The university hopes for new agreements pertaining to mobility of students and employees. Each year, the university receives around 400 students under the Erasmus+ program.
