International Think Tank „Managing Transboundary Natural Resources Under Global Change: Hotspots and Way Forward”

On 3 June 2026, Mgr. Aniela Staszewska took part in the ACROSS Think Tank event focused on Tackling Global Change Challenges: Transboundary Water Governance.
The third session addressed the urgent need for effective cooperation between neighbouring countries facing differing legal frameworks and resource capacities concerning water resources. Discussions explored practical pathways to ensure equitable access to water and sustainable management of shared rivers, lakes, aquifers and seas. Mgr Staszewska talked about Bialystok University of Technology and local and regional challenges of water management. She highlighted our university’s participation in the Baltic University Programme (BUP) as a way to support education and awareness about issues of water management. The session underscored the importance of joint strategies and knowledge exchange in addressing the complex challenges of transboundary water systems in a changing global environment.
