FLC Lecturers at the 12th National Tutoring Congress

03-10-2025

As is well known, Wrocław is a city of meetings. At the Foreign Language Centre, we love both its charming corners and the inspiring encounters with people, so we could not miss the 12th National Tutoring Congress organised in this city by Collegium Wratislaviense on 26–27 September 2025.

Four tutors – Alina Jabłońska Domurat, MA, Violetta Grabińska, MA, Małgorzata Komarewska, MA, and Urszula Sochoń-Okruszko, MA – are English language lecturers but also enthusiasts of professional and personal development and personalised education, hence their participation in the Wrocław event. This year, we were guided by the motto ‘RELATIO VERSUS RATIO – what does contemporary tutoring need more of?’.

We enhanced our tutoring and teaching competences during

  • four lectures
  • an open networking session using the open space method
  • a panel discussion
  • practical tool-based workshops on:

the developmental potential of mistakes and failures (Barbara Habrych), the action learning method (Agnieszka Pasek), transactional analysis, i.e. discovering the mechanisms that create the ratio–relatio universe (Grzegorz Grzegorczyk), the developmental power of kindness (Maria Libiszewska).

We returned with new reserves of enthusiasm and, above all, happy after meeting fantastic teachers from various levels of education for whom tutoring and high-quality personalised teaching are both a stimulating challenge and a passion. Among such people, inspiration is born and wings grow – after two congress days, we are definitely uplifted, enriched with knowledge, ideas, and contacts.

We look forward to tutoring programmes at Bialystok University of Technology, which will allow us to make use of our qualifications, potential, and enthusiasm. We would like to remind you that there are 13 certified academic tutors at the Foreign Language Centre, and we will be happy to answer your questions. Feel free to contact us:
