Our staff member at workshops in Estonia

From 11 to 13 October 2022, mgr Aniela Staszewska visited Tallinn University in Estonia to take part in the first part of the BUP Teachers’ Training Course: Education for Sustainable Development in Higher Education. The workshop’s focus was on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and Design Thinking. The aim of the workshop is to implement a change project at home universities, such as creating course materials about sustainable production and consumption of limited resources. The participants consisted of teachers from Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Slovenia and Ukraine. A second meeting will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania in March 2023.

The Baltic University Programme (BUP) is a network of about 100 member universities and other institutes of higher learning in the Baltic Sea region. It focuses on questions of sustainable development, environmental protection, and democracy in the Baltic Sea region.
The aim is to support the key role that universities play in this development. It is an innovative network with the aim to enhance higher education both on a local and on an international level. It arranges international university courses and teachers conferences. Interdisciplinary research cooperation and participation in trans-disciplinary projects with authorities and municipalities are also supported. The network is coordinated by the Baltic University Programme Coordinating Secretariat at Uppsala University, Sweden.
