The pursuit of excellence in science and the transfer of the best technologies available in the world in the field of broad analytics is the motto of Shim-Pol. Over the course of more than 35 years, the company founded by Mr. Marek Borzymowski has developed a unique model of operation based on scientific representatives mainly with doctoral degrees, which makes it possible to accurately diagnose the needs of customers and effectively assist them in solving their problems.
“Shim-Pol A.M. Borzymowski” provides a wide range of equipment and accessories in the area of chromatography, spectroscopy, optics, mass spectrometry, bioanalyzers, advanced surface analyzers, but also strength and fatigue machines (static and dynamic). These include solutions from companies: Shimadzu, Kratos, Dr. Maisch, Biotage, Antec, iX Cameras while Shim-Pol is their representative in Poland.
The strategic partner Shimadzu in particular is worth noting. According to a 2018 ranking by Chemical & Engineering News magazine, the Kyoto-based company is the world’s second largest manufacturer of analytical and scientific instruments. The course that Genzo Shimadzu set 140 years ago has been consistently maintained, with the goal of creating the most innovative company in the industry. Evidence of this includes the largest number of its own patents, the broadest portfolio, and finally numerous international awards including a Nobel Prize for Koichi Tanaka on Shimadzu’s engineering team – something unparalleled by any competing company.
The key to Shim-Pol’s mission is a well-developed service and training team, strong substantive support from all international partners. Numerous initiatives aimed at broadly transferring knowledge in an accessible and professional manner are highly appreciated by the recipients – our customers. In particular, we should mention the Academy of Analytical Chemistry, Shim-Pol Day meetings, LabSolutions software workshops, numerous chromatography courses, but also tests of equipment, such as in the laboratory of strength machines located at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, in the spectroscopic laboratory located at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, or in the mass spectrometry laboratory located at the Shim-Pol branch in Krakow.
