University of Malaya representative visits Bialystok University of Technology.

From 21st to 25th July, Bialystok University of Technology hosted Mr. Mohd Norazlin Bin Mansor, a representative of the University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
During his stay at Bialystok University of Technology, the guest from Malaysia met with the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Associate Professor Dorota Krawczyk, DSc, PhD, Eng., as well as representatives of the Mobility and International Agreements Unit and the Department of International Projects Erasmus+ and NAWA. The main focus of the conversation was the potential and directions of future cooperation between the universities, as well as the exchange of experiences related to promotion, student services, and the organization of international mobility.
Our guest had the opportunity to learn about BUT’s Welcome Centre, which serves as a support center for international students, helping them adapt to living and studying in Poland.
Mr. Mohd Norazlin Bin Mansor visited our History Centre, where he learned about the rich traditions and achievements of the university. A representative of the Bialystok University of Technology Library introduced our guest to the modern library collections and infrastructure that support the development of students and academic staff.
Next on the agenda was a meeting with Dorota Gawryluk, PhD, from the Department of Sustainable Construction and Building Systems at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of Bialystok University of Technology. During the meeting, the core principles of the European Cross-Border University ACROSS were presented, along with the project My Green University, which aims to introduce innovative solutions for the sustainable development of the university.
During his visit, Mr. Mohd Norazlin Bin Mansor also toured the Polish-Chinese Cooperation Centre, where he was introduced to the Confucius Classroom of Bialystok University of Technology, including Chinese language courses and the official Chinese HSK and HSKK exams. It was a great opportunity to exchange experiences regarding cooperation with Chinese partners—the Confucius Classroom has been operating at the University of Malaya (known as Kong Zi Institute Universiti Malaya) since 2009.
At the Erasmus+ InnHUB Bialystok Innovation Centre, the structure of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange was discussed, along with the role of InnHUB centres and best practices for international educational projects. The broad opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme for non-associated countries were also covered, including Jean Monnet, Capacity Building in Higher Education, and Erasmus Mundus.
A rich offer from the Eurodesk platform aimed at young people was also presented, alongside the activities of the European Solidarity Corps, which provide opportunities for skills development and participation in projects benefiting both local and international communities. At the end of the visit, the guest familiarized himself with the publications available in the InnHub Białystok library.
We are confident that this visit will contribute to the development of fruitful scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Bialystok University of Technology and the University of Malaya.
