A Dominican Republic university representative visited Bialystok University of Technology

From 24 to 28 November 2025, as part of the ERASMUS+ program, we had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Indhira De Jesús Salcedo Inmaculada from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), Dominican Republic, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of Bialystok University of Technology.
Prof. Indhira De Jesús Salcedo delivered a lecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of BUT entitled “Solid Waste Management in Developing Countries – The Case of the Dominican Republic.”
During her visit, she learned about the history of Bialystok University of Technology by visiting the History Center of BUT, the University Library, and the Center for Modern Education.
At the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences, the representative from the Dominican university toured selected laboratories of the Department of Sustainable Construction and Building Installations, the Department of Environmental Engineering Technology, and the Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology. In the latter, she met with the Head of the Department, Associate Professor, Monika Kalinowska, DSc, PhD, to discuss potential future collaboration between the universities.
We hope that this visit will foster further cooperation between our institutions.
