The representatives of Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and İzmir Yüksek Teknoloji Enstitüsü visited BUT

From 12 to 16 May 2025, the Faculty of Architecture at Bialystok University of Technology hosted Mr. Kamal Eldin Mohamed, PhD, from the Izmir Institute of Technology IZTECH, who conducted several lectures at BUT, including those on the topic of ventilation in buildings, particularly in the context of facilities located in countries with a warm climate. Based on the examples from Turkey and regions with similar climate conditions, he lectured students on utilising natural air flow to help cool interiors during high temperatures. Mr. Kamal Eldin Mohamed paid special attention to the so called “wind catchers” placed on roof tops, which facilitate effective ventilation without the need for mechanical energy. During his visit, Mr. Mohamed paid special attention to the energy-efficient building located at the Faculty of Architecture. Mr. Adam Turecki, PhD, and Mr. Marcin Tur, PhD, had the pleasure of showing the facility to our guest, presenting the operational installation systems aimed at enhancing energy efficiency.

Mr. Kamal Eldin Mohamed also visited the Mobility and International Agreements Unit of Bialystok University of Technology.

From 15 to 16 May 2025, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering hosted two university lecturers from University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, representing the Department of Electrical Engineering – Mr. Eugenio Cruz Álamo and Mr. Javier Cruz Norro. They visited BUT under the Erasmus+ program.
On the first day of their visit, the quests met Wojciech Walendziuk, DSc, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of Department of Electrotechnics, Power Electronics and Electrical Power Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. They also visited the following faculty laboratories:

• Laboratory of Automation and Industrial Electronics
• Laboratory of Electrical Measurements
• Laboratory of High Voltage Engineering
• Laboratory of Alternative Electrical Energy Sources

On the second day of their stay, Mr. Eugenio Cruz Álamo and Mr. Javier Cruz Norro visited the Centre of History and the Library of Bialystok University of Technology.
The guests of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering were hosted by Jarosław Forenc, PhD (Faculty Erasmus+ Coordinator) and Robert Sobolewski DSc, PhD.
