Environmental Footprint

As part of the sustainable development strategy “My Green University”, we intend to achieve the operational goal: Green Campus

We have set out the following lines of action to achieve this goal:

• Optimising energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy
• Rational water and waste management
• Green management – reducing and offsetting BUT carbon footprint

A key element of the University’s development policy should be to ensure energy security, increase energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

Education and research use natural and social resources. In the strategic development plan, the University will define goals, policies and measures to reduce the environmental footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency and increase the share of renewable energy in total energy consumption.

The policy of the authorities must encourage the academic community to change their behaviour and habits regarding energy, water and waste management.
