Graduation ceremony for graduates of the International School of Engineering at Tianjin Chengjian University.
The graduation ceremony took place on the 27th of June in Tianjin – that is, in the city of our partner University, with which we have been jointly operating a school educating young engineers from China since 2021. As part of a trilateral international project, students from China are taught by professors from Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU), Cracow University of Technology and Bialystok University of Technology. At our University, classes for ISE students are conducted at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences.

The diplomas of Bialystok University of Technology were jointly presented to Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering graduates by the President of Tianjin Chengjian University, Prof. Wang Zhongliang, and the Vice-Dean of the International School of Engineering, Beata Backiel-Brzozowska Eng PhD. The number of ISE students with BUT diplomas has increased by:
  • 22 Environmental Engineering graduates (bachelor’s degree),
  • 15 Environmental Engineering graduates (master’s degree),
  • 23 Civil Engineering graduates (bachelor’s degree),
  • 15 Civil Engineering graduates (master’s degree).

We extend our congratulations to a total of 75 of this year’s graduates who received their BUT and TCU diplomas!

The Rector of BUT, Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc, PhD, Eng, addressed the graduation ceremony participants by delivering an online speech:

I am very honoured to have the opportunity to speak to you on this important day. This is the second time I have the pleasure of congratulating the graduates of the International School of Engineering. Today’s ceremony is a celebration of your hard work and it certainly marks the end of one of the most significant stages of your life.

I imagine that many of you are feeling a strong sense of pride in all you have accomplished throughout your education at ISE. As you prepare to enter a new chapter in your professional journey, I truly believe that the knowledge and skills you have gained — along with the diploma you have earned — will lead you to many new opportunities for growth and personal fulfilment.

I wish that in the years ahead, you will fondly remember your time as a university student — both spent in your home country as well as in Poland. I am confident that your experience abroad has not only equipped you with the technical knowledge necessary to become experts in the fields of civil engineering and environmental engineering, but also has given you the chance to discover Polish culture and form long-lasting friendships. I am sure that all these experiences prepared you well to succeed in the global environment of today’s world.

I wish to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all members of the teaching staff. Your continuous dedication has been essential to the success of the international project we have been jointly carrying out since 2021. I find both the willingness to share your vast experience and the profound commitment to your students truly priceless.

Naturally, my warmest congratulations go to you, our dear graduates. Behind each of you stands an extraordinary amount of hard work and dedication. I wish you all the strength, confidence, and passion to carry your knowledge forward — to shape the world around you, to pursue your goals with determination, and to make your dreams a reality. May the diplomas you receive today be your pride and evidence of years of commitment to self-development and may you never stop learning, growing, and inspiring those around you.

During the ceremony, diplomas were also awarded to ISE graduates who completed courses jointly run by TCU and the Cracow University of Technology in the fields of architecture and landscape architecture. The diplomas were presented to the students by the President of Tianjin Chengjian University, Prof. Wang Zhongliang, and the Rector of Cracow University of Technology, Prof. Andrzej Szarata, PhD, DSc.
