MAESTRO-AI at the seminar for mathematics teachers at the Faculty of Computer Science, Bialystok University of Technology

On 29 October 2025, a seminar was held for academic teachers from the Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science departments of the Faculty of Computer Science. During the meeting, the Maestro-AI project was presented, showcasing the innovative use of artificial intelligence in teaching higher mathematics.

The presentation focused on a new instructional approach based on prompt engineering, as well as dedicated educational modules developed for ChatGPT and Gemini. The module demonstrated involved calculations with complex numbers and included three complete teaching scenarios. Participants were introduced to sample prompts, scenario structures, instructional guidelines and AI model outputs.

Additionally, the results of a questionnaire completed after the lecture were presented. These reflected participants’ perspectives on the usefulness of AI tools, the effectiveness of the proposed method and the potential for integrating artificial intelligence into mathematics education.
