Summarize!

18-11-2023

As the organizing committee, we are profoundly grateful to every participant, speaker, and partner for their engagement and contributions to the “Advanced Hybrid Lightweight Materials and Technologies for Global Circular Economy” conference. This event has truly been a collaborative masterpiece, and its success is a direct result of the dedication and enthusiasm of all involved.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the Bialystok University of Technology and the Foundation for the Development of Bialystok University of Technology for their leadership in co-organizing this conference. Our alliance with National Key Clusters — Evoluma Industry Cluster (previously Metal Processing Cluster), Polish Construction Cluster, and Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies — has been essential in curating a comprehensive and impactful program.

Our sincere acknowledgments are due to our strategic partners, the Marshal’s Office of the Podlachian Voivodeship and the Via Carpatia Polytechnic Network, whose support and contributions have been indispensable. Their involvement reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability, which is the heart of this conference.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bialystok, ILK TU Dresden, and Fraunhofer IKTS for their generous support. The collaboration with these esteemed institutions has significantly enhanced the quality and reach of our conference.

The discussions and interactions throughout the conference have highlighted the transformative potential of advanced materials and sustainable technologies. Panel of cross-border cooperation showed the potential of Bialystok University of Technology, Podlaskie Region and cooperation between researchers – industry – local government. Our distinguished guests from Germany, Sweden and Latvia presented best practices and new routes which may be used. Speakers from Marshal’s Offices as well as Contact Points supported with knowledge where, when, how apply for financial support. Proofs that is worth to do have been presented by investigators already conducted Horizon projects. We are more than delighted to experience the presentations of main sponsors of our conference. They presented potential and ideas for joint actions, cooperation. Key National Clusters, companies as well as university delegates talked about cooperation, transfer of technology. Participants may realize that only joint activities between companies, universities and local authorities will results in success.

We are especially proud of the inauguration of the Open Innovation Network of The Podlaskie Region, a milestone that marks a promising new direction in our region’s innovative landscape. Our next activities are strictly related to the mission and goals of Open Innovation Network of Podlaskie Region. The awareness of advanced hybrid materials and composite technologies need to be raised. Furthermore, the innovation and transfer of new material and technological trends – inter-sectoral and international cooperation will be increased!

We commend the spirit of collaboration that has been the hallmark of this conference. The participation of experts and thought leaders from Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Austria, and Sweden has created a rich tapestry of insights and perspectives that will undoubtedly shape the future of our industries.

As we reflect on the event’s success, we are inspired by the collaborative networks that have been strengthened and the new ones that have been formed. We are eager to see the evolution of these partnerships and their contributions to advancing global sustainability and economic resilience.

Thank you, once again, to all our partners, with special recognition to the Marshal’s Office of the Podlaskie Region and the Via Carpatia Polytechnic Network for their strategic partnership. Your combined efforts have not only made this conference possible but have also set a precedent for excellence in the integration of science, industry, and environmental stewardship.
