The aim is to summarize the advancements in the field of optical fiber technology and their applications in the region and worldwide. The conference brings together experts from various fields: academia, government laboratories, industry, telecommunications operators, and hardware and software suppliers.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>History<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The first &#8220;Optical Fibers and Their Applications&#8221; conference took place in February 1976. Initially, it was organized every three years. Since 1986, it has been divided into two sub-cycles: Technology and Applications, organized every 18 months. The first conferences were held in Jab\u0142onna near Warsaw, at the conference facilities of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Subsequent editions were organized in Na\u0142\u0119cz\u00f3w (previously in Krasnobr\u00f3d) by Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska University in Lublin and Lublin University of Technology, as well as in Bia\u0142owie\u017ca, Supra\u015bl, and Bia\u0142ystok by Bialystok University of Technology. Several volumes from this series of conferences have been published in &#8220;Proc. SPIE\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bialystok University of Technology will organize the next &#8220;Optical Fibers and Their Applications&#8221; conference in 2025.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conference Organizers<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Bialystok University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Poland)<\/p>\n<p>Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering (PTETiS) (Poland)<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/div>\n<h1>Scope and Topics<\/h1>\n<p>Invited guest and plenary lectures, papers, and poster sessions will cover the development of optical fiber technologies. The conference will particularly focus on the following directions and applications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Materials for photonics,<\/li>\n<li>Optical fiber technology,<\/li>\n<li>Optoelectronic components and systems,<\/li>\n<li>Metrology of optical fibers, components, and optoelectronic systems,<\/li>\n<li>Applications of optical fibers,<\/li>\n<li>Luminescent optical fibers,<\/li>\n<li>Lighting technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h1>Conference Venue<\/h1>\n<p>The symposium will take place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/ibisstylesbialystok.pl\/\">Ibis Styles Hotel<\/a> in the center of Bia\u0142ystok.<\/p>\n<p>The Ibis Styles Hotel is a modern and comfortable hotel located in the heart of the city, providing conference participants with easy access to all attractions in Bia\u0142ystok.<\/p>\n<p>Bia\u0142ystok, the capital of Podlasie, is a city with exceptional natural and cultural values.
