I’ve met lots of amazing people and discovered some incredible places. It allowed me to forge international friendships and explore German cities steeped in history. The programme also gave me valuable experience that is difficult to gain any other way than by learning first-hand. I honed my language skills not only in English but also in German. It gave me the chance to get to know the academic community in both Poland and Germany better. I have very fond memories of the time we spent together and of the whole project.
Jakub

I’ve taken part in the project twice and I’m glad I had the chance to do so. The project allowed me to develop my interests, practise new languages and meet new people. I learnt a lot about other cultures and even shared my own with others.
Antoni

Recently, students from Germany visited our school as part of a student exchange program. I was very happy about their visit. I was a little nervous at first, but we all got to know each other quickly. Together, we took part in various activities and games. We had the opportunity to speak English and learn more about Germany. Our guests were very friendly and open. We showed them around our school and told them about Polish customs. There was a lot of laughter and fun. Thanks to this, we were able to learn about the new culture and make new friends. I think a student exchange like this is an amazing idea. I really enjoyed it and would love for a similar event to happen again.
Paweł 3A

I believe that the exchange with German students is a very valuable initiative. I didn’t participate in the trip to Germany, but I had the chance to meet the guests who visited our school. It was an interesting experience for me as I was able to see what it’s like to interact with peers from another country. I particularly like the idea of developing scientific interests together. The MINT project shows that science can bring young people together, regardless of their background. Such meetings are also a good motivation for learning foreign languages. They make it easier to understand how important communication and cooperation are. I believe that direct contact with other students allows you to better understand their perspective than simply reading about another country. I also appreciate the opportunity to showcase our school and city to our guests from Germany. In my opinion, this is an initiative that benefits both sides and is worth continuing.
Hubert 4B

The MINT program was an unforgettable experience for us. After all, it’s not every day that we get the chance to use the laboratories provided and made available to us by the Białystok University of Technology. We also had a wonderful time in Germany, where we bonded with our classmates and were able to improve our language skills and learn to be independent in a foreign city. We also learned a great deal about water pollution – water that, as we know, is essential to our daily lives and surrounds us at all times. We also had the opportunity to visit Leipzig, thereby broadening our cultural horizons. We met with the mayor of Halle, who told us about the city and explained the challenges troubling the local community. All these experiences allowed us to grow and learn things we wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to discover in our daily lives. It was certainly an unforgettable adventure, for which we sincerely thank the Polish-German Youth Cooperation.
Karolina Luchowska 4A

I’ve participated in the exchange program twice, and each time it was an incredibly positive experience. I had the opportunity to explore German cities and make friends that will last a lifetime. I’ll remember the wonderful atmosphere and hospitality we experienced there for the rest of my life. I definitely recommend it!
Zuzia 3B

In my opinion, the Polish-German exchange program at our school is a very interesting initiative. Although I didn’t take part in the trip to Germany, I had the chance to meet German students during their stay at ALOPB. I was impressed that we were able to talk and get to know each other better. I think that such meetings are a great opportunity to learn about other cultures. They also allow you to test your language skills in practice. It’s great to see that, despite differences in language and daily life, we share many common interests. I also like the fact that the project combines meeting new people with learning. The collaboration between Polish and German students shows that school can be a place not only for acquiring knowledge but also for building relationships. I think experiences like these help break down barriers and open us up to others. I hope that similar meetings will continue to take place in the future.
Hubert 3B

The school exchange with students from Germany was a wonderful experience. First, we visited their school and toured the city. Then they came to visit us in return. We showed them our classrooms, modern labs, and robotics rooms. We spent a lot of time together learning and having fun. Thanks to this, we overcame the language barrier and made new friends. Every day brought plenty of interesting experiences. I really enjoyed this exchange and would recommend it to everyone.
Janek 3A

In my opinion, ALOPB’s collaboration with German schools is a great example how international connections can help us grow. I didn’t participate in the exchange myself, but I did interact with German students during their visit to Poland. I believe that such meetings create a friendly atmosphere and provide an opportunity to get to know people with different experiences. A major advantage is combining learning with exploring the culture of a neighboring country. The MINT project shows that shared scientific interests can serve as a foundation for making new friends. I also appreciate that students can use foreign languages in real-life situations. Such experiences can be useful not only in school but also in future careers and further education. I believe that international cooperation helps develop openness, independence, and the ability to cooperate with one another. It’s great that our school gives young people the opportunity to participate in initiatives like this. I strongly support continuing the exchange program and hope that even more students will be able to take advantage of this opportunity in the future.
Hubert 2B

The trip to Germany as part of the MINT project was an incredibly valuable and eye-opening experience for me. In addition to expanding my knowledge of the natural sciences and new technologies, it was, above all, an excellent opportunity for me to meet many new people—including students from the Elisabeth-Gymnasium, with whom we bonded very well and formed meaningful relationships.

During the program, we had the opportunity to visit Berlin and Bremerhaven, among other places, where we participated in science workshops on bacterial growth and toured fascinating scientific and historical sites. Working on joint projects required us to collaborate closely, which allowed me not only to develop practical skills but also to overcome the language barrier and improve my communication. The trip also allowed me to gain a better understanding of the culture and daily life in Germany.

The experiences I gained, the knowledge I acquired, and the connections I made will certainly prove valuable in the future.
Carlo

The trip as part of the Polish-German exchange was a wonderful experience for us, one that we will remember for a long time to come. We had the opportunity to practise our German in real-life situations and improve our command of the language. We met lots of new people and made some interesting friends. During our stay, we learnt many new things and gained a wealth of interesting experiences. We really enjoyed the practical sessions in the laboratories, during which we were able to learn something new. The trip was also a great opportunity to get to know a different culture and spend time in a friendly atmosphere. We came back with lots of lovely memories and new knowledge. It was definitely a successful trip, one that we’d love to repeat!
Amelia Karny 2A, Milena Rogowska 2C

The MINT trip was a unique experience. It allowed me to make new friends, some of whom I’m still in touch with today. The exchange greatly broadened my understanding of other cultures and inspired me to travel further afield. I also had the best burgers of my life in Halle. I’d definitely like to go back there again.

Krzysztof Łukaszewicz 2B

Although I didn’t participate in MINT, I had the opportunity to partake in meetings with German students during their visit to our school.
