The 10th Forum of Polish Mathematicians (Forum Matematyk\u00f3w Polskich) took place in Bia\u0142ystok from 8 to 12 September 2025. This event was organised jointly by the Polish Mathematical Society, the Bia\u0142ystok Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society, the University of Bia\u0142ystok and the Bia\u0142ystok University of Technology.<\/p>\n

Around 150 mathematicians from Poland and abroad gathered at the Forum to discuss the future of education and the challenges of contemporary mathematics.<\/p>\n

A notable feature of the Forum was the session dedicated to mathematics teaching, where pedagogical innovations, the role of AI in education, and novel approaches to student engagement were explored.<\/p>\n

During this session, Ewa Girejko and Marzena Filipowicz-Chomko presented the findings of the MAESTRO AI project. The titles of their presentations were \u201cAI as a partner in teaching mathematics: results and reflections from practice\u201d (Filipowicz-Chomko) and \u201cAI as a partner in teaching mathematics: an experiment with AI in classes\u201d (Girejko).<\/p>\n

Other notable participants from the Bialystok University of Technology included Professors Zbigniew Bartosiewicz, Ryszard Mazurek and Dorota Mozyrska. The official opening was attended by \u0141ukasz Prokorym (Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship), Prof. Dr. Hab. Mariusz Pop\u0142awski (Rector of the University of Bia\u0142ystok), Prof. Dr. Hab. In\u017c. Marek Kr\u0119towski (Pro-Rector for Science at the Bialystok University of Technology), the President of the Polish Mathematical Society, and others.<\/p>\n
